Thanks for dropping by!
I live in Mariposa, California. It is about an hour drive west
of Yosemite Valley on Highway 140. As you can see from this high
school picture, Mariposa is a town of rolling hills, rock outcroppongs
and trees. Mariposite, a miniral named after the town, is a greenish
rock which is found only in this area. The beautiful green grass
in the background is around for 4 or 5 months, and then turnd brown and
dies in the hot summer sun. Although Mariposa is the county seat,
and the largest town in Mariposa county, it is still unincorporated.
